The KQG2L06-01S is an SMC KQG2 series stainless steel quick-connect coupling with an L-shaped elbow structure, suitable for pipes with an outer diameter of 6mm. The connection thread is an R1/8 external thread.

Made of SUS316 stainless steel, this product boasts excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance, operating within a temperature range of -5 to 150℃ and is compatible with steam. Compared to the older KQG series, it is 30% smaller and 62% lighter, achieving a compact and lightweight design. It is widely used in clean environments requiring corrosion resistance and high-temperature resistance, such as food processing, medical equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing.

However, please note: SMC explicitly states that this series cannot be used for leak detectors or applications with extremely high vacuum pressure requirements, as zero leakage cannot be guaranteed. For ordinary vacuum handling, adsorption, and other similar applications, it is perfectly adequate.

Q: What are the requirements for the pipes during installation? Does the thread require additional treatment?

A: Please note the following two points:

Pipe compatibility: Suitable for various materials including FEP, PFA, nylon, soft nylon, polyurethane, and polyolefin, with an outer diameter of 6mm. When using liquids or experiencing drastic temperature changes, it is recommended to install an inner sleeve.

Thread sealing: The product body includes sealant; no additional Teflon tape is required during installation. Simply tighten the screws.
